This champagne tasting takes place in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in a magnificent cellar specially dedicated to this exceptional wine !
The owner of this place dedicated to champagne is daughter of winegrowers. The delicate bubbles do not have any secret for this passionate cellarwoman ! In this historical cellar, her team will guide you in the tasting of three remarkable champagnes produced by independant craftsmen winemakers.
During this tasting, you will learn what gives its character to the champagne : the terroir, the grape variety, the cultivation of the vine, the wine-making process.
You will discover the particularities of the unique Champagne terroir and its four regions as well as the different grape varieties of the “AOC’ - controlled denomination of origine - Champagne.
The cellarman in charge of your workshop will make you test the different food and champagne pairings since this wine perfectly matches all dishes, sweet or salty !
Option "meal":
You can add the option "meal" (+29€) if you want to participate to the tasting at lunch time. This option includes:
- An assorment of dishes to pair : fish or meat "rillette" toasts, french cheeses and charcuterie and a pastry ( this is not a 3-course meal).
