St Peter's Cathedral & St. Angelo Castle
Visit the Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican, the most majestic and symbolic of the Christian churches, famous for its dome and its mosaics, it houses the tombs of several Popes and especially the Pietà of Michelangelo.
- The Piazza del Bernini in front of the Basilica is also majestic.
- Not far away, continuing towards the river Tiber we reach Castel Sant'Angelo, papal fortress since the Middle Ages and even before ancient Mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian.
- The Castle is connected to the Vatican by the famous Passetto and the visit of the suggestive castle includes access to its terrace for a spectacular view of much of the Eternal City.
