Situated more than 60 meters below the streets of Moscow, the Taganka Bunker, or Bunker-42, is an historic military communication post, today a museum of the Cold War. A labyrinth with a unique atmosphere, the Taganka Bunker is composed of 4 interconnected blocks. Close to 2,000 personnel worked at this secret facility under the Soviet regime after passing through secret gates situated in an alley and in the Metro itself.

Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who recreates the intense ambience of the Cold War, you will enter into of the most secure Soviet-era bunkers in Moscow. You will discover how the USSR prepared itself for a nuclear attack, thanks to a secret bunker that allowed its personnel to survive for several months. Water supply and air renewal systems, command and communication posts, declassified weapons and document exhibitions, and retrospectives on the Cold War as experienced by the Soviet authorities or Stalin himself are some of the activities and exhibitions you can see and experience in Bunker-42.
